Context
The project stemmed from a growing awareness that family well-being has a direct impact on work quality. For this reason, the company launched a structured parenting training program based on a psycho-pedagogical model validated at the international level.
The initiative had a dual objective: to provide employee-parents with practical tools for tackling everyday educational challenges, while also strengthening organizational dynamics through greater calm and focus at work. High levels of engagement made this initiative stand out, generating positive impacts both personally and professionally.
The Project
At the heart of the initiative was the Circle of Security (COS) model, rooted in attachment theory and backed by over 50 years of research. Through an active and experiential approach, the program brought together groups of parents—organized by their children’s age—to explore emotional needs and reinforce their educational role.
Led by certified facilitators, the course offered an interactive and hands-on format that helped participants internalize key principles such as:
-
Being a secure base for their children
-
Recognizing and responding to emotions
-
Managing frustration
-
Balancing protection and autonomy
Through videos, practical exercises, and guided discussion, participants had the opportunity to reflect on their parenting style, deepen self-awareness, and acquire tools they could immediately apply in daily life.
Results
The program saw high participation and strong emotional and cognitive engagement. Feedback from participants revealed a number of positive outcomes:
-
Greater awareness of children’s emotional needs
-
A stronger and more confident parental role
-
Reduced stress in managing family and work responsibilities
-
More harmonious family relationships
-
Improved focus and individual work performance
To conclude the program, the company held a celebratory event where participants received certificates—further reaffirming its commitment to an organizational culture centered on personal and professional well-being.
Looking Ahead
Following the success of the initiative, the company is evaluating an annual rollout of the program, expanding participation to include other internal groups such as new or expecting parents and family caregivers.
Eligible for funding through leading Interprofessional Training Funds, the project also serves as a tangible driver of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) strategies, while aligning with ESG principles. A clear expression of authentic care for people—one that can be meaningfully highlighted in Sustainability Reports as well.
