As part of BookCity Milano 2025, the Arnoldo and Alberto Mondadori Foundation hosted the international conference “Architexture — Archives: Space, Network, Environment,” curated by Giovanna Borasi (Director, Canadian Centre for Architecture), Giacomo Papi (Director of Editorial Content, Mondadori Foundation), and Mirko Zardini (architect and curator).
The initiative was promoted with the support of the City of Milan, BookCity Milano, and Triennale Milano, with contributions from Fondazione Cariplo and PRAXI.
The full-day event examined the evolving role of archives in contemporary culture across three key perspectives:
- Space — from closed, inaccessible sites to open, participatory environments
- Network — digital, connected ecosystems capable of generating collective knowledge
- Environment — reflections on a more sustainable future for preservation and conservation
More than 30 international speakers—including professionals from cultural institutions, archives, and universities—participated in the discussions.
As sponsor of the initiative, PRAXI was represented by Vito Crosetto, Executive Chairman, who delivered the opening remarks.
